Cash-on-Cash Return

Definition

The ratio of annual pre-tax cash flow to the total cash invested in a property. It measures the return on the actual cash you put into an investment.

Formula

CoC Return = (Annual Cash Flow / Total Cash Invested) × 100

Example

If you invest $80,000 and earn $6,400/year in cash flow, your CoC return is 8%.
